The Aksimentiev Group

I'm a senior undergraduate student majoring in Engineering Physics at UIUC. My primary scientific interest is in understanding the molecular and physical processes underlying the functions of living cells, as well as how problems with these processes contribute to disease. I’m particularly interested in using computational tools and knowledge of physics to investigate the physical basis of biomolecular processes. I'm currently working on understanding the liquid-liquid phase separation process of FUS protein.
